The Chesa Grischuna Hotel is located in the heart of Klosters, 75 miles from Zurich airport. A scenic 2-hr train ride takes you to Klosters and it is only a few minutes to the hotel. The hotel was built in a traditional chalet style in the 1930s with wooden balconies and colorful geraniums. Its architecture, woodwork, intricate carvings, antiques, linens, and artwork were all made by local artisans. The owners work on the property, which gives it a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional service level, with a lot of attention paid to details. In addition to the main house, there is also an annex with quaint wooden paneled rooms beautifully furnished and decorated individually. Some of the rooms provide balconies with mountain views.

The restaurant serves delicious food, a generous breakfast, and a very attractive menu served by an attentive and friendly staff. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel has a bar with live music. An inviting lounge with a fireplace is a favorite place to relax and have a drink.

Klosters is a picturesque town nestled in the Alps, yet is not flashy like other towns in the area. It is convenient and easy to take the train to get to nearby Davos, just 6 miles away. Taking either the bus or the train takes the same amount of time, 30 minutes, to get there.

Some interesting fact about this historic hotel. During WWII, Chesa Grischuna was one of the preferred hotels of the GIs, who returned for a vacation after the war. Writers and personalities from the film industry also stayed there, and the hotel was affectionately called "Hollywood on the rocks".
